Can’t disagree. Although I believe the captaincy and giving up the ODIs may give him an extra spring in his step.

He wouldn't make my best XI but at the same time if we have a must win game during the WC and end up in a situation similar to today I'd 100% want someone like Stokes in the middle order

That's why I think he'll go. For me not a big fan of T20 I'd sooner seen him fresh for the test series. Nice choice to have though, we've got some excellent talent

Stokes' best innings have come when he's had time to play himself in, think the World Cup Final and Headingley for example, and it's been early over-aggression that has led to some poor innings this summer.
In T20 you usually have to be slogging from ball 1, he isn't suited to the format.
