T20 World Cup 2024

I can just see it...

Rob Key gives his full backing and praises Mott and Buttler for their heroic efforts in guiding England to a semi final place at the T20 WC but unfortunately, luck was against them on the night.

Rob Key added that England players were too tired from a gruelling County Championship schedule despite hardly any of them playing in it and unless it isnt cut back severely then England can never hope to reach a final again.

I think retirement from this format will follow from Bairstow, Moeen, Jordan, Wood and Topley

They’ve done their duty over the years and won trophies

It’s time for new lads to be given an opportunity and I think it will happen

Harsh on Rob Key that, I think he will act and will get rid of both.

There’s a lad at Somerset Lewis Gregory who has a quality t20 brain

Handy bat and bowl as well

You could give Brook the job as I feel the batting will revolve around him in time

Taking the tournament overall, on paper, we gave a par performance. Obviously, that’s not the full story. We did well to beat the West Indies and we came close to beating Sourh Africa, but the vibe was poor overall. Not as bad as the wretched ODI World Cup but poor, nonetheless.
