No sir, not even close. Most teams are transient. We practice on matting over concrete, in baseball fields on public parks, wherever we get space. Matches are on makeshift pitches on local schools. But the point i was trying to make is that there is actually quite a lot of cricket played, despite the not-quite-so-conducive circumstances.

Hopefully this WC really helps cricket grow in the US and other countries.

For years the ICC was a cabal where the big teams ran the game for their interests and enrichment only and made no efforts to develop the game around the world. I saw an example recently where the ICC set aside £30,000 to develop cricket in China. I mean, what is that going to achieve?

So this WC is a huge milestone and upsets like this are really important for the game. It shows teams arent just there to make up the numbers.
