As ridiculous as it sounds, the super 8 groups are set in stone no matter if we finish first or second. We're in group 2 and if all the seeds go through we'll be with Pakistan, South Africa and West Indies even if we all finish top of our groups.

Group 1 will be India, Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka.

Our super 8 schedule is likely to be:

19 June - West Indies - St Lucia
21 June - South Africa - St Lucia
23 June - Pakistan - Barbados

Bigger capacity than any ground in England (34,000).

Hosting the Ind v Pak match, with the public ballot for tickets oversubscribed by over 200 times. $150 tickets currently selling on Stubhub for over $2000.

Pakistan got themselves a very good new coach for the World Cup. As well as their test team too.

How long have NZ had pretty much that same squad for? Feels like most been around for ages outside of Ravindra, Allen, Bracewell. Some serious players in there mind

NZ fans aren't massive fans of Gary Stead their coach as he's for a while always persisted with his favourites/older players.

Not giving the young guys a chance. Rachin Ravindra likely wouldn't have even played at the last World Cup, but Williamson got injured and then he came in smashed it.

Well I had Woakes,Ahmed and Atkinson in my guess yesterday on the IPL thread(forgot about Topley in my guess)

Here's the squad likely to be announced tomorrow. Them the 3 I got wrong.

Chris Jordan ffs. Feels like he’s been getting carted around to all parts across the world for the last 25 years and still gets picked.

It's a bit concerning that only 4/5 players in that squad are in any kind of form.
We should have moved away from the likes of Ali and Jordan after the last World cup.
