Hope this is us getting our one bad game/series out of the way before it actually matters in the World T20. No point in judging us on this game, we've been fantastic for the best part of 3 years in this format. Bopara is the issue IMO. If we're going to play someone who doesn't whack it at 3, I'd rather play Bell.

Tell him he gets a spot in the Ashes team next summer as long as he doesn't go to the IPL, gets a bit of county form and apologises to everyone. Otherwise, tell him to fuck off.
I've just realised something else too - why on earth isn't Prior in the T20 team? He's far better than Bopara.

Having been beaten by seven wickets in their first match against Pakistan earlier in the week, Australia lost the series 2-0 and dropped behind Ireland in the International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings.
Australia skipper George Bailey, who hit a brilliant 42 off 27 balls in the losing effort, admitted: “It (a ranking of 10th) doesn't look very good. I'm still not sure how the rankings work.
“So Ireland go past us tonight. I'm not sure if we've ever played Ireland in a T20.
“Make of that what you will. If Ireland are a better side than us, then I guess they'll show it in a couple of weeks in Sri Lanka.”

Played againt England. Turned 30 today, he was made T20 captain on his debut at 29, seems to have been picked to be captain rather than for his batting, strange selection.
