T20 Match Thread: Durham Cricket V Worcestershire Rapids


Enjoyable win that. After being at the WC Jones looks like that he has upped his game a bit. Sowter wasn't bang on the money but still managed to bag another couple of wickets. Wasn't perfect but who cares a win is a win. Was getting sick of watching Kashif Ali bat this week, but his contribution tonight wasn't game changing although at one point it was looking a bit ominous.
 
I think the team we had out tonight has most things you need to go far in t20

We have loads of bowling options and big hitters

I know they sometimes don’t come off but the talent is there

Not so sure about having too many.....getting Kashif Ali out was hugely important as he was taking the game away from us like earlier on in the week....as was Jones hitting in our final over .....2 absolutely crucial moments in in the game which ultimately made the difference

Also outstanding all round performance by De Leede. I have said it before but for a lad who at times can look a bit ordinary with bat or ball he has produced some excellent performances in all forms of the game.

I really like him down there

We tried it earlier and people criticised it but I dont agree

We have badly lacked a finisher forever, and often not even tried to fill it, its good thinking IMO
 
Thought it was a really good performance from all tonight. De Leede excellent and I'm pleased as he needed that. Jones continues to impress and I'm delighted to see this as he's such a good player. One of those nights I walked away saying "I really enjoyed that" which is a rarity with home T20 games. Nice that we are still in the mix at this stage. Well done

They need to get more out of Jones going forward, in all formats, hope they dont give up on him.

Its tricky him being away with Scotland at times like, bit disruptive
