Some naive batting for Durham. When Muchall and Plunkett were first together we needed just over 6 an over. The next over Yaks took control of the game, we had no creativity or anything, every shot was down the ground at the fielder. I'm no fan of Smith but at least he has the sweep shot in his locker, Muchall.........
Plunkett, at least he tried flicks before getting out

In control then the shambles started. Shows why we are bottom of the CC. Unbelievable that this side won the Championship two years in a row and came close to a third. The lost boys, whats gone wrong??

Thought it was in the bag 110 for 1 off 10

Pleased I didn't end up going, fed up and seeing ridiculous batting collapses at the moment. Very frustrating for all concerned.

Take Gibbs out of that last night and the rest is very poor (Plunkett alright) in comparison to Lyth, Root & Miller for Yorkshire last night.

Plenty of runs on show tho good nights cricket just wrong result

Sometimes you just have to accept that the opposition bats, bowls and fields better at crucial points in the game.

T20 isn't cricket

By all accounts Gibbs was good to watch but we were 112/2 at one stage then 159 all out, that's poor.

Mustard 4 off 7
Stokes 12 off 10
Benks 2 off 4
Muchall 16 off 15 when chasing to win the game near the end
Breese 9 off 10
Borthwick 0
Claydon 0
Onions 0

Bloody awful that.

We threw this game away. Gibbs had done all the hard work and then we collapsed.

Sidebottom bowled brilliantly well and Miller batted superbly. It was a challenging total and we needed someone at the end to slog say 25.

Isn't cricket

Tell that to the crowds

The crowds?

The club are very dissappointed with the crowds, was speaking to someone senior at the ground last Sunday and they were gutted with the turnout for the Notts T20 game. They have had to put promotions on through the ECB & Groupon for the next few fixtures to try and boost crowds.

T20 crowds are very much different people to that of CB40 & LVCC.

Can't see many going on Wednesday vs Derby.

Looking forward to the next LVCC home game which seems ages away. That's proper cricket.

T20 isn't cricket at all

Reasons for this would be:

1. the weather is crap,
2. durham are not doing very well, and
3. The club arent overly brilliant at publicising themselves...and perhaps
4. the recession

Proper cricket fans go to watch 20/20 mate.

Disappointed with crowds. Look at price and weather for a clue to that

Agreed, it's tough times for everyone at the moment but for the poster to suggest the T20 is been well supported simply isn't true.

That Notts game last Sunday was a similar crowd to a CB40 game. Can't see many going on Wednesday.

Agree but your earlier post seemed to suggest you think the club are pulling in good attendances for the T20 which they aren't.

I paid £30 for our T20 season ticket for the 2 of us, which works out £2.50 each a game. Would be rude not to buy it at that price even though we aren't big fans of T20. The weather and last Sunday, were enough to make us not attend yesterday. Probably end up going on Wednesday but it's far from a definate.

"Proper cricket fans go to watch 20/20" - I won't even bite at that
