T20 Durham v Notts Outlaws/Bears

Lees has captained well he gets unnecessary criticism on here
His use of his bowlers has been poor plenty and his batting not good enough.

I didn't see today so hard to comment and I think with the amount of runs we had on the board gave him an easier job on Friday. The bowling choices didn't matter as much as Notts were always going to have to push too hard and offer chances.

I was very impressed by his batting on Friday. Tried shots he doesn't normally play and it bore fruit.

Hope that part of his game continues to improve. Jury still out on his captaincy.

He's batted well recently tbh

Well done Durham and a competitive score after they put us in to try to get an advantage if Duckworth Lewis came into play
Fielding and catching were good and bowling was good and bad by different bowlers at different times
You always get issues with Parky bowling all his overs
Pottsy was canny at times early on but was very messy and profligate in the final over
Aldridge was both excellent and absolutely shite in his spell
Neesham was susceptible to being ramped on quite a few successful attempts
Even Sowter conceded runs above the asking rate.
But hey ho with very good catching including balls which came down with ice on them we won so as a team who support each other which is obvious when watching we deservedly progress and move on

Great interview with Campbell. So refreshing listening to this bloke backing, praising and challenging his players without fear of failure. A million miles difference from the previous coach and players are reaping the rewards of this coaching style. We are very fortunate to have him
Now if you were a really forgiving man you'd send that Campbell recording to Franklin anonymously to serve as a motivational exemplar.

“The other mob can do what they like, we just try to win cricket matches” (not word for word but that’s the sense). Has anyone told Cambo that you absolutely cannot criticise the ECB’s favourite team unless you want a points deduction?

this might be jumping the gun slightly, but are some finals days tickets held back for the teams who make it, or if youve not bought them already is it tough

Bizarre situation in the Northants v Lancashire game, at the end of the first over of the Lancashire innings the bat gauge was brought onto the field and the umpires have deemed that Phil Salt’s bat is illegal… now, I’m on a delay, so I don’t know the outcome, but commentators seem to think it’ll mean penalty points as opposed to any sanction in the current match. Could work well for us in the long run if Lancashire beat Northants, denying the hosts points in the table but then get those points deducted from themselves

Lancashire cleared. Quelle surprise.
