T20 :: Durham v Derbyshire

Where’s best to park tomorrow? Planning on parking at the riverside car park but expecting it to be a struggle to find a space somewhere.

Thanks in advance

If you’re planning to park there, it’s being used as overflow for the usual car parks by the club. So buy a ticket in advance - £3 rather than £5 on the gate.

Interesting news from a very reliable source for the game on Friday :
Pre sales for the match (NOT including members and T20 season ticket holders is 3600 (by comparison Lancs was 1600)

Trapdoor stand is open as well.

Wow

Amazing

I’ve been saying for years you need to get the football crowd involved, it’s such a dominance in the north east you just have to try and get on board some how
Carse and Coughlin in the squad and thankfully Clark is named in the squad

Carse?!? Christ that’s class, he’s meant to be out for ages yet wasnt he? I wouldn’t dismiss his ashes chances then

I saw him netting the other day

I guess there is a chance he could play as a Batman, unlikely, but he did bat 5/6 last year
@brandon let’s not fall out but Carse and coughlin back and still no Beds after he made a 100

Do I not have a point now?

Aside from the issue of him being an overseas player, it could be argued quite forcefully that not having him trashing around the country to play T20 will have benefited him. Lees made the point after Friday’s calamity that the players were fatigued. Him and Jones are not playing to their potential, probably as a result?
Yes but neither will bowl. Why"thankfully" for Clark?

Clark didn’t field yesterday, did he? Trev was on for him.

Aye totally fair yeah. I guess my point is, CC is most important to me and everyone on the board I reckon, but t20 is where the club generates its own income, so I just think he needs to play

I though Carse n coughlin were in as bowlers mind so I won’t repeat my point, my fault.

Yeh,he clearly wasn't 100% when batting. I"d be inclined to rest a couple of the regular batters. Both Carse and Coughlin are pretty effective T20 batters.
Must say that if Carse or Coughlin could bowl, I’d drop Parnell and play Bedingham.
If Carse and Coggers has been fit to bowl I don't think we'd have signed Parnell

Do we need to take our Season Tickets as proof, does anyone know?
Not allowed season tickets anymore mate, and the offers open to new season tickets as well who won’t have last years card
This is pretty much me, my interest with cricket as a whole is growing slowly over the years but this will be my first game, may just be the first of many. (Same for who I am coming with as well)

does anyone have any advice on where is best to sit? Looking for a nice spot for a couple of pints and a bit crack with my mate who I don’t see often whilst taking in some decent cricket hopefully. Tickets aren’t allocated seats as far as I’m aware so just wondering.
The ground is circular obviously so the view is pretty much the same wherever you sit - unless you prefer to be more square or more straight, then you can shuffle up each stand as you wish. Biggest factor is whether you want the sun tbh - the near end when you go in is the shaded side, so just walk around the ground if you want the sun and you’ll find it. The big blue seating area is the best for the sun.

Food and stuff is fairly well distributed - good selection behind the double tiered stand as well as the area you enter in. Should be 3 bars open, one at each stand, so no difference there

There’s enough space, but it’s a pain to get out of so just go for a pint in the bar first, that’s my usual trick, and it’s dead by the time you’ve drank one

Any excuse for a drink in the sun I’ll take happily

It’s brilliant to see that the ticket offer has prompted a few first timers/waverers to come along tonight. Let’s hope that lads produce the goods and they all become regulars!

I lost interest in cricket for a while, but (despite being a bit of a traditionalist), it was taking the kids to a T20 not long after the competition started which got me back into it. They also became cricket fans as a result. I’ve had a membership for a few years now, one of the best buys I’ve ever made.

Hope everyone has a great night 😁
