T20 at 20

It’s improved the skill level of batsman tenfold and allowed them to earn money they deserve, but had some other unfortunate side effects

Why didn’t the ECB trademark it or someit,

Nothing beats 4 day cricket or test matches, the true spirit of men's or women's endurance! T20 will for me be a nothing game! Made for people with the attention span of a gnat!

A T20 game lasts longer than games of football or rugby man you daft get. Not like it’s over and done with in an hour.

Think it’s class me, as the artist formerly known as The Rat says it’s had some unfortunate side effects but it’s still been by far and away a net positive for the game.

Love posts like this making it seem as though 20 over games were invented in 2003. Its like people who think football only came along with the Premier League.

Pretty much every one of the players playing in it will have played loads of 20 over cricket before then.

I quite enjoy watching the Blast but the IPL and other franchise leagues are not for me. I am a bit of a purist and can't become attached to money driven tournaments where players have little to no loyalty to whoever bids the most rupee for them.

I also think international T20 cricket is largely pointless other than a World Cup.

It's introduction has been overall to the detriment of cricket as we knew it, but that is mainly down to the greed of administrators. It has improved skills particularly in batting but too much focus is now on cramming in as much short format cricket as possible.

Edit: Had a mare here.

Dunno why some people gatekeep T20. I get that Test Cricket is the traditional format but T20 has done more good than bad imo. Brought in new fans, given the players the chance to make good money.

It's entertaining too imo. I doubt I'd have gained a wider interest without it
