Swap Deals


For one of the players it must feel shit. Like say arsenal want Bruno from the mags and want to swap with trossard.

For Trossard it would be like being placed in the reserves. A massive step up for bruno but a massive step down for Trossard. So he'd probably rather move to villa or something.

For Trossard at 31 it is as good as it gets
À 3 year deal on a minimum 200k pw … he’d be in clover
 
I dont think the player or the agent would get as much in terms of financial incentive for a swap as a straight sale, probably also lowers their ability to negotiate wages

Tueart and Horswill went to City in 1974, Tony Towers coming the other way. Dave Watson went to City in 1975, when Jeff Clarke came to SAFC, iirc, correct me if I'm wrong
 
Didnt Tony Norman arrive on a swap plus cash deal? Or am I dreaming that?
Just checked- yep Hull got Billy Whitehurst and Iain Hesford plus half a million in fees in exchange for Tony Norman
