Yep thats the one. Well impressed. Sunderland has cracking bars all over the city now.
I moved away 40 odd years ago and whenever I come back for a match previously I tended to drink Northside of the River from habit.
Yesterday I parked Townside and I've never seen "that" Sunderland. In the sunshine and with everyone out milling around in a good atmosphere all the way from Vault Yard (looked excellent) through Keel Square passed Engine Room etc and along to Three Stories I was mightily impressed it had a superb vibe to it and away fans can't help but be taken aback.
The new bridge will also make a huge difference connecting town to Sheepfolds and the Stadium. It must have taken nearly 40 minutes to get from the North Stand to Riverside car park or the pubs after the match yesterday , in future that'll be down to about ten minutes hopefully.

Exactly, it's great to see.

Footbridge open for the rugby then not till October?

shut from 10am on thursday
Maybe it is a lot bigger deal than I realised. I was out for an early morning walk today and there was loads of activity with people wearing lanyards and colours of the WRWC.
I have no real interest in it other than thinking it must be good for the city. Not sure what they are doing on St Mary's Way.
