Stay in the game until 75 minutes and then give them everything. We are still in this despite City's impressive ball play. We're doing canny. Just need to keep them out for the next 30 mins.

Wow...were you the script writer on the first two Rocky films?

I'm reading what you saying and can hear it as Micky....

It is. But would he have done it if Brown was next to him?

He had just seen Aguero skin Coates so can't really win. He obviously thought the better of two evils was to try and cover Aguero turning him. To be fair it was a World class touch
I see what you're saying, but it's poor defending.

Agreed.

I can't get too angry at the defence for the 2nd. It was a hard ball into Aguero's feet, most forwards would have probably held the ball up after controlling it. Unfortunately, Aguero pulled out a fantastic pass from nowhere. Pretty hard to anticipate a move like that.

I never for one minute thought we could keep man city quiet 3 days after a clean sheet vs Chelsea as city were always going to learn from Chelsea's mistakes.

City been excellent, we started well then got outclassed. Let's hope city aren't in the mood for daft numbers.
my thoughts mirrored , could get embarrassing this looking at the naivety in defending

We are slightly less tight than the chelsea game, and we aren't passing as well. I think that's the difference. Costa only managed to get a few touches against us because they never got the ball to him.
City on the other hand are playing wider and getting the ball to aguero more.
We haven't been awful, just a few defensive errors have let us down.

Their defence looks suspect, so if we can lock up second half we might still be able to nick something back

City are pressing much better than Chelsea were too. A lot less time on the ball... but their defence looks a lot shakier.

I almost feel like we've tried to surprise them by playing a more open game and not sitting back like we did against Chelsea and like everyone expected us to.

I suppose it worked to the extent that we took the lead, but since then they've picked us apart.

When it's a level playing field and teams like City/Chelsea/Man united don't spend as much or more on one player as we and other teams do on our whole team, then we can moan if we lose. Until then, it't more often than not a case of damage limitation.

No shame in losing this game, like to see us get Jozy on, maybe wide and as much as I hate to say it, pump balls towards Clichy with Jozy against him to try and get up the field and maybe try keep possession a bit higher.
I was thinking similar this at the end of the first half.

Aye i thought that with the way we started.

Coates just ran towards him like a 9 year old kid.
Any half decent striker would have walked past him.
well exactly, it can't be amazing skill to get past him then like what the commentator was spouting... my point was the commentator contradicting himself just so he could thrap one off over Aguero

Best punditry I've read on here for years.

Tidied

Doing ok after a hard game against Chelsea and no brown or Johnson!!

Apart from their 2 goals, pants hasn't had to make a save.
