Sunderland vs boro 22 Jan 23


If we beat Boro on Sunday he’ll just be back saying “we’re stil above you, it’s over the season that matters” etc etc. never win with people like him. Could play them off the park and it’ll be because Boro didn’t show up….

I disagree. I wasn't expecting the atmosphere that the Riverside produced against us earlier this season at all. That definitely helped Boro to win.

An atmosphere helps, and if one side recognises a match as a massive rivalry, and another doesn't (as much), it makes it a lot more difficult for the latter team to 'get up' for it.

It's obviously a derby - but to us it's absolutely nothing on our rivalry with the mags, which unfortunately makes it very difficult to invest too much of any emotion into.

This plank from Boro has excelled himself here :lol:

Apart from a 10 minute spell when they were pushing to get back in the game I would say they are one of the worst sides we’ve played this season.
