*~*~* Sunderland v West Brom match thread *~*~*

Am I being biased in feeling like the opposition get the soft free kicks and we rarely do as a matter of course in most games!

I’m glad we agree.

He may have had the most shots and most crosses but, barring one, I don’t remember many if any beating the first man.

Is it not possible to just call it for what it was? It doesn’t mean he’s crap. The lad has talent but he didn’t do much tonight.

And Roberts being as ineffective is a moot point.
Apart from the one cleared in front of their goal you mean?

Some of the reactions on here are ridiculous, far from happy clapping were unbeaten in how many?

Those 5 draws 1 was 10 men, 1 was one of the best form in the league at home, 1 was one of the best in league away. 2 poor results but we didn’t lose (like Plymouth and Watford). Yeah 15/15 would have seen us clear at the top but that’s not how football works. Get a grip, today was a solid performance not gonna blow every team away but a few bounces our way and a dubious offside and that’s 1-0.

Expected a draw. WBA well organized. Not particularly disappointed.Would play Mayenda from start on Friday instead of Watson.

Maybe keep Alese on instead of Luke as well, not that to Luke played badly but Alese is more athletic..and quite good....

Not expecting much at Sheffield, being a realist. a draw will be a bonus

Not sure he got that much wrong to be honest. Let the game flow and wasn't falling for some really weak play by a few of our lot.

Really disappointed by that performance. Zero threat all evening. Roberts was shocking, again. Seriously need to look to improve our wide options in January if we want to keep pace with the front few.

Patrick Roberts promises us Radiohead but gives us The Courteeners. He started the season well but currently isn't doing so much. They doubled up on him and Watson and we couldn't really get past that.

Riggs effort blocked, Roberts should have scored. As has been mentioned I’d be fuming if I was a Baggies fan but the onus is on us to break them down. Wasn’t for the lack of effort - we’re ruing the Coventry and Millwall results plucking draws from the jaws of victory.

What the most consecutive draws we’ve had?
Exactly. We were by far the better team, all game. We've had some less than perfect results lately, but tonight's performance is not one to be slagged off. We had the chances to win easily, against a team who (are top 6 contenders) came here with no intention of even attempting to win the game.

He caused the most problems in the first half, had the most shots and the most crosses. He was very unlucky with the cross that the lad cleared from the 6 yard line - that could of gone anywhere.

Way ahead of Roberts in end product, but yeah he was "ineffective and offered very little"
Agree totally mate. Roberts was totally ineffective. Mayenda better on the right. Poor managerial decisions.

Usual meltdown on here to start. We played well, dominated from start to finish, they parked the bus. 7th place and they had no ambition whatsoever, f***ing pathetic. Extremely unlucky there, but hopefully Friday be a better game.
At fuckin last.
I thought I was watching a different match to most of the comments on here man.
We dominated the game against 11 men stood in their own box for 90 mins.
Marginal off side goal rightly disallowed, but they couldn't get out of their own half man.
The lads worked so fuckin hard and it just didn't happen for them.

Ffs fellas.
