*~*~* Sunderland v West Brom match thread *~*~*

This is when we have to wake up and realise that we are not as good as we thought we were. Things have got to change, and quickly!!!
Dunno about the rest of you but this is about as good as I thought we were. Controlling the game but struggling to break down a promotion chasing team that came to play for a 0-0 draw. We're not exactly Barcelona.

Clean sheet about the only thing to take away from that. Hopefully Sheff Utd being at home and having to attack plays into our hands, can't seem to break stubborn teams down

The drop off has definitely begun. It's not really a negative, we were massively overachieving for the quality of our squad. I think we are beginning to drift around where we should be which is playoffs.

We aren't as good as squads like Leeds and Sheffield, we're never gona get automatic but comfortable playoffs I think people would have taken your hand off for that at the start of the season.

Massive improvement needed from recent performances but definitely not doom and gloom.

A performance without spark, and it happens when the opposition are so defensively minded.

When they are siting in you have to look at set pieces and every one of our corners/free kicks were woeful to the point Mepham stopped going up for the last couple.

If said this a few times but if you can’t win ‘em don’t lose ‘em.

Third place. Big game on Friday just became even bigger.
