*~*~* Sunderland v Swansea match thread *~*~*

Clearly we are using these matches as a pre season spell before the play offs. Hence the rotation and young players starting…

This is about fitness and conditioning, not about trying to rip every team a new one and risk further injuries to a thin squad.

How people can’t see that I don’t know
We've been playing this way for months

Not rotating the right players though. Neil and Rigg still being flogged.

It might be a nothing game but you'd still like to see some effort and momentum and the lads hitting a bit of form.

Performances 6 games before the play off games are neither here nor there. The only time to complain is if and when this level of performance happens in the play off games. Over the next 6 games we will see Le Fee start, Mundle back in, Jobe back in, Cirkin back in etc. This is piss poor but its easy to see how and why the peformances are lacklustre imo. Its only then that counts - you can twist to your hearts content then.

So you don’t think momentum is important ahead of a playoff campaign?

Pick your best team every week. Never mind saving them for the play offs. As for Watson, why play him if he he is off to Brighton. From what I have seen of him he will.end up like Clarke., not playing and a sub if he is lucky.
