I would agree with that, but he has to retain the ball wherever he is and pass it effectively. I like the idea of Auochiche but the reality is frequently disappointing. Today he has been terrible.

As they started that attack both Clarke and Jobe were half arsed jogging back. Overload on right meant Styles had to go across, jobe being 20 yards behind Bannan meant he had time and space to pick his pass

Giving Mike Dodds the job until the end of the season was an awful decision.

It was. There's been no benefit to getting rid of Beale.

Last summers window set the tone though. We can kid ourselves about this manager or that manager but the fact is recruitment hasn't addressed a single issue we faced on our return to the division last season and we've arguably weakened the first team and squad gradually ever since.

You can predict what is coming in the next few weeks…. Delayed appointment. New appointment comes in midway through the window. 4 17/18 year olds signed before new “coach” is appointed. Dodds will depart with Jobe to be his Man Friday at his new club. Patterson, Clarke and Ballard sold. One new decent signing before the season re-starts.
