I'd say there was more than that.

Pompey was a watershed moment, literally. The pitch was shambles, but it was an exaggerated example of all of our weaknesses.

Charlton was a continuation and the same problems (which started the rot last season too).

Rotherham, Sheff Wed were a progression of it and Mansfield has kept it rolling.

Theres fundamental problems with our approach at the moment and although I loathe sacking managers he's on borrowed time if he can't even get a response from them.

You are trying to deflect this thread because you have made a fool of yourself by calling fans 'children' for criticisng Johnson.

I can fully understand why you want to do this.

However, there are a lot of 'children' amongst our support and have every right to call the manger given the horrendous results he has overseen.

He was average at league 1 level also. Same issues were present with every team he has managed. He only got the Bristol job because of his dad, and kept it as long has he did for the same reason. hell even our shit championship team managed to come back from 3-0 down to draw against his side. Has always lost half of his games at every other club. Best he managed for them was 8th. Had never won promotion or even reached the playoffs prior to this year. His team's concede as many as they score. He is a manager who talks a good game and believes his own hype. Couldn't get his head further up his own ass.

We really were shocking today and there is no way to sugar coat it. The fact (apart from Stewart), most of our first team either started or were available for that game says either a lack of managerial nous or the players couldn't give a flying f**k.I am not sure which.

I’m not calling you a liar. I’m allowing for the possibility that you have actually seen any Sunderland supporter - anyone - on this board talking about how they’re “happy” about Sunderland losing.

Johnson obviously got the team well drilled in pre season and a handful of good performances and accompanying results did wonders for the entire squad.

What the last few weeks have shown is that the bloke obviously doesn't have a plan b for this squad of players.

I was at Charlton, Sheff Wed and today, and in each game you could see we were beat as soon as the first goal went in. Yet Johnson has done diddly squat to change formation, tactics or personnel bar today I guess. It's like hitting your head against a brick wall.

He obviously hasn't a clue how to change, who to change, or what to change, and that is the fundamental problem. We're just continuing to me play exactly the same footbal and when teams press us we get found out, again and again and again.

That's a bit rich, given that this conversation is only happening because you mentioned me on the thread, and I had the audacity to reply asking you for evidence of your claim that supporters on this forum were “happy” about Sunderland losing. Evidence that - I have to say - remains in the ether, and I’m really starting to doubt actually exists.

And I most definitely did not belittle “SAFC supporters”, as you well know.

I called you out for calling fellow SAFC fans 'children' and other similar patronising language for being critical of Johnson.

Lets see who is right in the next few weeks?

I certainly hope Johnson proves me wrong and he turns this mess around but currently I cant see it.

If you don’t like being called a “liar” for claiming that there were Sunderland supporters on this board happy to see us lose - show me the posts.
