*~*~* Sunderland v Coventry match thread *~*~*

Can't believe the moaning feckers about the way we played. The manager had a job to do, and he did it. Ends justifies the means.

Coventry were always going to throw the kitchen sink at us. They had no choice. Is it surprising we had less possession.
I'm feckin delirious we got through but come on, we were awful in our set up and very lucky to get through.
Maybe the last second goal is clouding judgement a bit?

Don’t think it’s bitterness, I think that interview shows why he’ll never be a top manager.

Tactically, if we like it or not, Reggie has bettered him, allowed his team to have the ball as they won’t create much in open play.

Lampard has done a superb job at Coventry but he’s been above his level, they’ll struggle to replicate it next season.

They were the better team from about the 30th to the 105th minute tonight. He’s upset and that’s fine.

Don’t think he said anything wrong really, but to be honest he needs to look at the first leg and ask why they only created one chance all game.

Who's moaning. Fine margins. It wasn't and hasn't been great, but yeah well done the manager.
