Hopefully the difference between this seasons side and previous Sunderland teams at this level is their ability to go on decent runs of winning games.

We are always going to lose a few games but if we can respond with a few wins on the bounce we’ll be ok this season.

What‘s hampered us in the past is losing a game then drawing two or three of the next five.

Slows everything down and loses the ball too often.
Maldini is one of the greatest defenders ever, but he moved inside from left back when he turned his age, Giggsy came inside, Pearce came inside, Barnes came inside, Keane dropped deep. The best of the best start to account for age. We’re still playing McGeady wide left, it’s madness.

How were they outrageously bad? O'Brien and Pritchard were having no impact on the game. I accept he could have made the subs earlier, but, that doesn't make them outrageously bad.

On to other things... the challenge on Gooch: in rugby, that's called a neck roll and gets you an instant 10 minutes in the bin, because it's so dangerous.
We were shocking man. My biggest worry is, Stewart on the wing and nobody in the middle. It was depressing. Like we'd gone back to the bad old days. No energy, no gambling, no getting into the box. Parky would have loved it. Taking Neil off and leaving Onein on is unforgivable. It makes me worry if he's scared of the senior pros.

I thought the linesman was waving his flag when the goal went in for a foul, must have been for O’Nien handling it?

Just in, that was total wank. Johnson failed to have the team up for it today, Stewart was isolated a lot particularly second half. Sooner Embleton is back and playing as a 10 the better. Onien had a mare, why not keep out the way from that twat no9 if he's getting away with Judo throwing you every single time. LJ wants his head examining taking Neil off and leaving Onien on. Poor all over the pitch today unfortunately, not even second best. Ref was a hyper-c_unt, again.
