Pity that wasn’t on 4/5pm and somewhere bit biggerJust on my way to the gunners now![]()
First half was terribly packed near the bar, got a little better 2nd half when more people ended up on the dance floorPity that wasn’t on 4/5pm and somewhere bit bigger
I was in the Vault Yard last night & the band were ropey at best. Not sure who they were, decent setlist of The Jam, Oasis & stuff but if you’re missing out full verses of Tubestation you might not have rehearsed enough. My brother in law reckons the singers guitar wasn’t plugged in either.
I don’t like to slag off people getting up there & doing stuff, cos I can’t, but this was particularly shit. This thread shows we’re blessed to be able to look at it & pick a good pub band to see every weekend, so I don’t think pointing out ones that are not up to standard is a terrible thing to do.There's lots of bands at the moment using backing tracks. I watched a band the other night and they played Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel. I was surprised to hear a full brass section blasting out of the PA despite them only having guitars. Their backing vocals were obviously on a track as well as no one was near a mic when some of the backing vocals were playing.
Things like this make me lose interest in a band because it makes me wonder what is actually being played live on the stage.
