Yeah - eXTC were very good but we were disappointed with Hugh - too many 'obscure songs of his own would have preferred more Stranglers (We had to leave before the end (22:40) to catch the bus so didn't hear all the encores). And he's a much better guitarist than I remembered.

Got along to the Saturday night of this. It was excellent. Bit of an acquired taste and, as Graeme himself says, very niche. But a really good event. Will be looking out for next year. Popped a bit of a review up as well:

A couple of changes tomorrow (Thursday) Buskers Night at The Wheatsheaf has been moved to Tuesdays so isn't on.

Patrick Gosling's Singer Songwriter Night is on Thursday at the Ship Isis in the Vaux room at 19:00 (I may have had an influence on this when I pointed out it would clash with a home game). Different from all the other Open Mics in that people present original material.
