A guy called mark shemmings deals with all bands on a Friday in the long bar and I’m sure Barry deals with Saturday long bar bands, for venue gigs I’m guessing it’s promoters that sort themMight be a daft idea, but how do we get in the ears of the decision makers of who puts bands on in Sunderland. Make sure Pop Recs, the Fire Station, Independent & Peacock are aware of what we want as gig goers? I know we’ve already got @dodgem on here from the Peacock. Would be mint if we as a selection of people who go to the gigs could potentially have an influence.
The naive bit about this post is I don’t know how it all works. Does someone want to tour then approach venues, do the venues approach management & say hoy us on the list for the next one, or a bit of both.
As an example, Frank Turner at the Fire Station that I mentioned to @GTG. Brògreal are playing the Cluny in September, Pop Recs would have been class.
