Sunderland Hummel Equality Jersey

Does your work promote these issues? We go to football for football because it’s our choice we’re not there to be educated or have stuff rammed down our throats

10000 crowds at the sol with no atmosphere at all if that were the case. I want this club promoted that’s it anything else if I was interested in it I would take notice or learn about it in my own time
Yup, everyone should just maybe keep quiet about homophobia, racism, and those pesky genocides that seem to be going on and just look into it behind closed doors if they can be arsed

Are you against gay people? If you are not I don't see why this shirt would bother you.

There are barely any openly LGBT footballers, the stats of the general population show their should be around 7-10%. Obviously they don't feel comfortable living openly as themselves, so hide who they are. Don't you think it's utterly tragic that someone has to hide a large part of who they are, don't you think that must be very soul destroying?

It's the same with the fans, lots of LGBT people who love football do not feel comfortable attending matches, they see this 'lad' culture that is often openly against them and stay away. For one minute try to have some empathy and put yourself in their shoes, think as if it was your son.

If this shirt shows LGBT people that they are welcome and wanted, if it encourages players to feel more accepted in who they are, then how can that possibly be something you are angry about? Do you really have no care for anyone who isn't the same as you?

It's not forcing anything down your throat, you don't have to wear it. If seeing people and businesses trying to make people feel comfortable and accepted for who they are, for how they were born, really upsets you, then you truly are lost. You truly have no empathy for others. I could only feel sorry for how angry and bitter you have become, I think you've been told to be against this type of thing and don't really know why.

Great post, couldn’t agree more👏

As someone who is LGBT+ and doesn't have issues going to the match I personally have a big issue with this top. It's all good banging on about raising awareness (not sure what it's really doing but hey ho).

But my big problem is where is the money going? I'm not aware of it going towards any LGBT+ charities, if they're keeping it to thereselves it's just corporate greed and the worst of the worst. Can't stand companies who profit off pride. It's scummy behaviour and capitalism at it's worst.

No and why should there be 7 to 10 percent gay? What if they just aren’t gay ever thought of that? Lad culture it’s like anything I like work school etc lad culture will always exist in some cases that’s a good thing why would ya try and say it isn’t? A just don’t get what people like yourself expect? No swearing no groups of lads? I haven’t been told to be against anything a go to the football and when I watch football i only wanna see and hear about football why do people like ya self think that is also so wrong?

Money to the club, same as when they sell anything from the club shop, why wouldn't it be.

My work has nothing to do with it but as it happens yes my work did have a campaign going. If you don’t care as much as you suggest you don’t, you seem awfully offended that the club have done this. Did you air the same thoughts when we released a shirt for Remembrance Sunday?

Brilliant, must have!

Write and ask them?

Had a look at it in the club shop yesterday and as lovely as it is, £50 is steep like. It's all basically printed on and there's no fabric badge or logo like the actual kits. I think £30 would've been a more honest pricing but still, glad to see the club making some cash if it's selling well!
The badge is my main issue with it, almost doesn’t seem like a proper football top with just a print on badge.

Don’t offended just don’t care which seems to bother you. Typical that you presjme
What others are thinking for questioning something. Like I have asked what can we do then if people aren’t happy to go to matches or whatever? The whole stadium hold up pride colours? No groups of lads wvery footballer come out gay? what do you and others want to happen to show that football is inclusive?

I must admit, mine arrived yesterday and the quality is poor (I say this as a huge fan of Hummel) The sublimated badges aren't as good but understandable for the reasons Bamber has highlighted but the one I received doesn't even have any kind of labelling inside (Hummel branding or sizing) DH Gate will have a field day with it, never worth £50 in a month of Sundays

I've read that 3 times mate and I think I can smell burnt toast

“sick of stuff being rammed down our throats”

I’ve seen this line on here and on Facebook etc, multiple times over the last few days, from actual adults, rather than just ignoring it.

If you don’t understand why anyone promotes inclusivity then you’re part of the problem.

That line always amused me , I see things every day and I just scroll past them.

Comments like that though show why people can't be comfortable in being themselves. Next will be where is the t-shirt that promotes straight people.

I think these people have genuinely no idea how hard it is to come to terms with who you are and how life will be full of ignorant replies
