The first time the champions of two European leagues met was in what was nicknamed the , when English champions beat Scottish champions 5–3. ( )

Does this technically mean that we were the first Champions of Europe or can we claim to have been World Champions? :D :cool:

Never actually knew this until today.

Yes, yes it does.

I'd say that's also the original European Cup so I think we should add a star above our badge.
 
Can we have a retrospective open top bus parade too and as first time winner an automatic entry into the CL every year?? We can skip the Downing Street reception bit though.
