Station Street is off high street. It's not the back lane behind Wilko.Which, like the station, has been there for over 100 years.
Indeed it is and the council couldn’t give a fuck about badgering Northern to totally replace it instead of it working for a few weeks at a time then f***ing up again plus when the roof leaks they close it down !Haven't been through for a while. Is the escalator still in a constant state of repair?
Three parking spots outside though!Get to the train station by a back lane??
I know. It's behind Fawcett Street, round the corner from Yorkshire Building Society.Station Street is off high street. It's not the back lane behind Wilko.
Not owned by them is it? I may be wrong.Should be looking for the network rail lovers tbh.
Network Rail? Yes.Not owned by them is it? I may be wrong.
I thought it was T&W PTE if that’s still a thing.Network Rail? Yes.
shamefulI find it unbelievable that there isn’t a loo.
Nah. Network rail own it, northern manage it.I thought it was T&W PTE if that’s still a thing.
As I said our council can’t even compete with Coventry who’s council are working with network rail to improve their station.Nah. Network rail own it, northern manage it.
Network Rail withdrew their share of funding that they promised last year after a government review. Let’s blame the council though eh?As I said our council can’t even compete with Coventry who’s council are working with network rail to improve their station.

ours just slope their shoulders.
It's always someone else's fault, you've had years to sort this out. How come other councils manage to agree on stuff?Network Rail withdrew their share of funding that they promised last year after a government review. Let’s blame the council though eh?
So network rail pulling funding is the councils fault? Some f***ing logic that. The government pulled the funding for the new courts, councils fault. SAFC are shit, councils fault. New bridge, new road, not needed. Just leave if you hate the place so much. It's always someone else's fault, you've had years to sort this out. How come other councils manage to agree on stuff?
Just like Seaburn, the council seem to piss off the people they're talking too.
Answer that previous question then, why do so many other councils manage to achieve Station upgrades working with Network rail?So network rail pulling funding is the councils fault? I don’t know why other stations get upgrades, do you?Answer that previous question then, why do so many other councils manage to achieve Station upgrades working with Network rail?
I don't hate the place, I hate the stage 1 incompetence of the council.
Is it feasible to put the train station there? Doesn’t the platform have to be flat rather than curved (for the record I am not sure if it is flat enough or not).
Also are you suggesting having separate station for metro and rail?
I would take a punt that the local councils can manage the stakeholders much better than we can.I don’t know why other stations get upgrades, do you?
Or if we demolish the Civil, that would surely give us some options to build a real station.I would say it's more feasible in the long run rather than refurbishing the existing one every subsequent year! Yes to a separate station...
It was the site of a former train station before the current station was built
Have the station after the curve i.e. pointing south...after all that's where the trains will be going
Or if we demolish the Civil, that would surely give us some options to build a real station.
