Indeed it is and the council couldn’t give a fuck about badgering Northern to totally replace it instead of it working for a few weeks at a time then f***ing up again plus when the roof leaks they close it down !

I know. It's behind Fawcett Street, round the corner from Yorkshire Building Society.

The back lane behind Wilko is further down towards Mowbray Park near the taxi rank.

As I said our council can’t even compete with Coventry who’s council are working with network rail to improve their station.

Network Rail withdrew their share of funding that they promised last year after a government review. Let’s blame the council though eh?

It's always someone else's fault, you've had years to sort this out. How come other councils manage to agree on stuff?

Just like Seaburn, the council seem to piss off the people they're talking too.

So network rail pulling funding is the councils fault? Some f***ing logic that. The government pulled the funding for the new courts, councils fault. SAFC are shit, councils fault. New bridge, new road, not needed. Just leave if you hate the place so much.

Answer that previous question then, why do so many other councils manage to achieve Station upgrades working with Network rail?

I don't hate the place, I hate the stage 1 incompetence of the council.

I would say it's more feasible in the long run rather than refurbishing the existing one every subsequent year! Yes to a separate station...

It was the site of a former train station before the current station was built

Have the station after the curve i.e. pointing south...after all that's where the trains will be going

I would take a punt that the local councils can manage the stakeholders much better than we can.

I recall a friend wanting to upgrade his business at Pallion and when he tried to engage the council he was bemused at how bad they were. He spoke to Gatehead council who did everything they could to help him move to Team Valley, which he did.

Or if we demolish the Civil, that would surely give us some options to build a real station.

The civic site is going to be housing/flats. The train station as in platforms is staying where it is but the entrance is going to be the pound shop.
