Sunderland AFC U21s

2-2 draw with Wolves today at aol. Goals from Waters and Moore. Warm up for the lads before next Thursday. Strong team included minutes for Timur and Trey with there loans now ended.

Cameron, Richardson, Bainbridge, Walsh, Waters updated list to be released

seems like there will be a large amount of the older 21s departing this summer.
Next year's 21s will be a very young group by the looks of it.
The younger lads did very well when they came in this season though I thought

Maybe signing some u21s from other clubs. Something we don't do enough ofv

Get the lad out on loan next season. The no jeopardy attitude of Academy football is the antithesis of producing first team footballers
Whilst not agreeing with your playing out from the back concerns, I am starting to come round to the lack of winning attitude. They clearly did not have the desire to win in the last ten minutes last night. As you say maybe too cosy and no jeopardy as demonstrated by Harrison Jones at 22 with limited meaningful competitive action.

I'm not against playing out from the back. What I am against is taking ridiculous risks in front of our own goal.

Also there's nothing wrong with a ball into the channels and a ball into the front man to play off.

I just think we should be trying to develop a winning attitude once you reach u18s

they did try this - Abdullahi was largely responsible for the lack of success on both fronts
