This side are on a pathway to being professional footballers ( not all will make it ) at this point it’s their job really even though the vast majority are not “pros”. Sunderland will pay them a wage. The foundation of light team as far as I know is just basically a college team. They do some kind of qualification when playing football and getting training in. I’m not sure if they do trials to get the best they can or just let anyone do it and pick a best team from there. They then represent Sunderland in some kind of education league. Not to do anyone down as a couple will always slip through the net they won’t be as good in general.
Good to see them into the next round.

Are They still at the club? Are they injured, is so are thry likely to return soon?

Spot on - FoL team is basically a college team. There is loads in the NE now, no kids are turned away but the colleges do have multiple teams. The likes of Gateshead have about 7.

Both injured or returning from injury. Joe played some minutes in a friendly recently but not match fit. Look forward to seeing both back.

Been a few on long term unfortunately. Harrison for a lengthy period. Joe had a bad knee injury I believe. One of the 1st years did a similar injury and missed the season so far. Be good to see the lads fit.
