Sunderland AFC U18s


An impressive performance judging from the highlights. Although Rigg has got a lot of attention I thought Middlemass was by far the stand out in the highlights, has got some skills and took his goal very nicely.
 
Seem well developed physically, literally looked like men against boys. Middlemas and Watson looked especially good but hopefully they keep developing as a team.without stars so there's a crop of talent comes through together.

To be fair the liverpool commentators praised our lads quite a lot which doesnt always happen with clubs own videos.Mind they couldnt have done any other,they must have thought we had sent Brazil to play them.Well done lads,the future has never been brighter.

They did a bit. However were mentioning every 2 minutes that we were much older, more physical and experienced.
We started with 3 under 16s, who could have been playing on the other pitch. They had 5 1st year scholars. We probably had a younger squad with a few 1st years starting too.
Basically we were miles better, they have assembled that squad from other clubs where ours are all local lads.

Seeing as he’s 17 and progressing well wouldn’t be surprised to see him and a couple of other sign a pro deal with us soon if they keep this up.

That's how it works isn't it through the ages, gaps filled and lads move up. Yeah as far as I've heard they are doing well. Not all about the results.

The u16s are Young, Rigg and Cotcher is that right?

Who were our 1st years?
