The same people who slag Lovejoy off are the ones who watched him every Saturday morning. He was a trailblazing broadcaster up there with Howard Stern, Noel Edmonds and Chris Evans for his pioneering approach. Probably the most influential man of the 90s media wise.
Broadcasting live on TV for 3 hours is a very rare skill and something Lovejoy has made it look effortless in almost 30 years of being at the top of his profession.

There was a period when loads of teenage lasses and that, who had no real idea who the Ramones were, were sporting those T-shirts. Totally killed them off.

However, I really like the Ramones, and could name dozens of their songs off the top of my head, but they were kicking off 10 years before I was born, so if Freeman had asked me, I wouldn't have been able to name 2 albums :lol:

Aye. But, it doesn't really matter if people can name their albums. Probably just liked the look of the tops.

Freeman going on in that video sounds like a tool.
