Stuff the World Cup

It is what it is.
Let’s face it, if there’s any more than two members of this board going to a game I’d be surprised.
If the matches went to dynamic pricing, would they be much less???
Just watch it on telly, you weren’t going anyway 🤣

it will be totally shite and akin to Hitlers 1936 Olympics.
100% this.

Watched WC's since 82, went to Germany in 06 (best holiday EVER) but even then actual tickets were way, way above what I'd consider paying. Staying with a mate helped as hotel/room costs had gone through the roof. Was still a brilliant World Cup imho. After SA, loud but a success, its been an accelerating decline.

Since then I've slowly lost interest in what is clearly a corrupt organisation running a financially motivated scam that gives not one shining shite about fans, progressing the game or any of the other bullshit they come out with.

Even Scotland finally qualifying held no joy as there's not a cat in hells chance I'd have the financial muscle to get a ticket. That said even if I win the Euromillions tomorrow I not pay for one, out of principle.

As previously mentioned on here despite spending many a year building up "caps" for it we've decided to not bother it's the least excited I've been for a world cup and it was still ridiculous to have a winter one in Qatar, anyway instead of our there June will be spent sight seeing chisinau tiraspol and Bucharest and I can't bloody wait

They should pick the countries that will host the best games and have the actual infrastructure or near to in order to hold it.

If they don't then show your serious by growing the game first and having a need for the infrastructure instead of it being a one of event built by slave labour and then having a load of useless stadiums afterwards.

Going forward considering time lapse of who have had the world cup and considering they've fucked the next two up already.

Australia/New Zealand

UK

Someone new - China, Nigeria/Ghana, India - not necessarily these but just big countries who could put something together.

Eastern Euro Bloc (Croatia, Czech, Hungary now they've got rid of the Russian Stooge, Ukraine if the war is sorted by then, would be a nice reward for them that everyone can help with).

Not necessarily in that order. I do prefer when it's in just one country but seems the way it's going there's not many that can pull it off.

Can see this not going ahead if the shortage of airline fuel comes to fruition, lot of teams unable to get there , no fans either from a lot of countries.
Could be delayed it till next summer

It shouldn't come as a surprise that a nation that has driven it's extremely capitalist financial system by pilfering from other nations would take people's eye balls out who travel there for the world cup.

True to form...
A lot will buy tickets then be refused entry to the USA.
Normally love the World Cup. Would not be going to it, so the extortionate travel fares and the ticket prices would mean that I will not personally be affected by it.
BUT it is still shite from the so-called guardians of the game.
I would not be going to the States anyway because of the Orange Imbecile, but the diluting of it with the extra countries alongside the crap kick off times, will means that I will probably not be watching 50%+ of the Group games.

Infantino has screwed it up…..and Chump will take over the Final (if he’s not been jailed 🤞🏻)
I agree. His gate crashing of the World Club Final won by Chelsea will be nothing compared with his antics at the World Cup.

This.

A lot of people haven't realised that the end of this month is arse nipping time for aviation fuel. People with holidays booked with the likes of easyjet, jet2 and ryan air for the factory shut down are possibly going to be disappointed if the orange buffoon continues beyond May.

Tui, British Airways etc who have links into other countries will be refuelling the planes in other locations. But even they are now fearing the worst.

Jobs are going to be lost and holidays cancelled.
