Stuff the World Cup

You can set your watch by this craic.

As traditional as a meta-tarsal scare and 20 minutes of England passing it around their back four against some CONCACAF thugs.

Of course the World Cup is flawed. But I love it and there'll be a fair few on this thread claiming they won't watch who definitely do watch it.

Wouldn't be England and major tournaments if we didn't take some injured players who we all hope will play after the group stages, its tradition now

More teams and more games. A lot of low interest games with few supporters. Are US authorities going to suspend hunting down non white people ?
How much local football fan interest from the yanks will there be ? There's going to be some unreal sights. African team fans swarming around some of the racist southern states should be interesting. I hope it goes well for the travelling fans. But most of all, i hope all the Canadian and Mexican games are a success.

I will not be watching. Remember to take a burner phern and leave your laptop at home.

I'll probably change my tune when it comes around, but I couldn't care less about it at the moment.

FIFA have killed any love I had for the tournament itself, and the Southgate years have taught me that England will progress as far as their first game against top team and no further.

I’ve never really been that arsed with England if I’m honest .
I was until 1996. The older I got, the less I cared. When England get beat now I don’t bat an eyelid. To be honest I think that’s because of the way the game has gone. It’s expanded exponentially and not for the better. Internationals were a treat and on council telly. It was bloody hard to qualify for major tournaments when only 16 or 24 teams made it to the finals. Now there’s 48 it’s clearly just a money making exercise and a good chunk of games will be like watching league 1 football. It’s just lost its magic for me and has become pretty boring and meaningless.

My grandson wants all the National shirts that our players will wear at the world Cup there's bloody loads, Netherlands, Congo, Haiti, Senegal, Paraguay, Switzerland, Morocco, think that's it😂😂.

I’d be a hypocrite if I announced a self imposed boycott. I fly home from Vegas tonight after a great 4 week holiday. In my defence I did investigate the possibility of cancelling the trip after the orange dictator started attacking Europe with his tariffs, but I couldn’t get my money back so I here I am.
