Stuart Broad retires

So does that not prove that its still a draw for people?

Hardly any locals attend these games when England are in town. The crowd is made up mainly of people from the UK on holiday.

A recent Windies v India test, played in front of a few dozen people at the most.

Good career, good player. Probably wants to spend more time with his lass, that blonde sort from the Saturdays, I would do the same.
You have to wonder why he’s bothered playing this while he could’ve been playing with that.
Just beautiful her and his career.

Averages and numbers aren’t everything. He has entertained for years and been consistent for a very very long time. Woakes will take his mantle for the next few years but he’s going to long term be hard to Replace on longevity alone especially with Jimmys inevitable end looming

1 last dance today please Mr Broad. 6-20 will be fine

Nice thread.

Think him and Jimmy will still be our top test wicket takers in 50 years
I'd be very surprised if anyone not called Ashwin or Lyon ever gets 500 test wickets again. Let alone England records.

Can't see Cummins or Rabada playing enough and they are the youngest players with more than 200 wickets.

Starc Jadeja Roach Hazlewood Moeen all too old of the other active players with more than 200 wickets.
