Striker situation

Fair enough, its a game of opinions
Well said mate I feel the board is getting worse in general debates,Its almost as if everyone has to agree or be singled out for abuse. We all want the same things for the club just different ways of getting there.

Someone the other day said the contract with him is already agreed as well

yeah i'm not sure how enforcable that is. i'm no expert in football or employment law but if i was michut's agent would i want to sign a deal now for a potential.. let's say 5k per week for 3 years (at a guess) but surely you'd back him to have a mint season at SAFC and use that as a stepping stone to get a better move & contract at the end of it for double or triple that?

If we all agreed it would be a boring message board, I personally dont agree with your opinion on Michut and think as the season goes on you will see more than you do currently

I have no idea how it works, just going off what people have said on here.

We will be a stepping stone for him, same as we more than likely be the same with Ballard etc, so im making the most of seeing him now

Overrun  mental.
See 2 posts up,but for the sake of debate I will bite. Our defenders are good thank god because as a defensive shield our CM is rank. You could argue its not their game, so is being a threat offensively their strongpoint no its not either. We have been great this season mainly down to class keeper and defenders and the wizzards up top,the bit in the middle is weak.

i can see your view, don't really agree with it but i think alot of it is based on the players being very young, very slight and largely inexperienced. michut is getting better and better, whilst both he and neil are prone to give away possession with casual passing at times they are also pretty good at nicking the ball off opponents and this has been on an upward curve. they also have more talent in their locker than players like evans for unlocking forward paly with quality balls. think this will be key for now as gelhardt is a totally different striker to stewart and we'll have to play more that way to use him effectively

Maybe a 433 formation isnt such a bad idea, the more you think of it, the more it makes sense.

Gives an extra body on midfield and still gives us the forward play of Clarke and Roberts?

He can also slot into the back to give us 3 centre halfs and push the full backs on if needed

aye, it took us a while to understand what formation we were playing after the subs, as onien was dropping so deep he did look a 3rd CB at times, and with cirkin and alese on the pitch together it was canny confusing.

So a possible solution could be

........................Patto

Hume.........Ballard.....Batth..........Alese/Cirkin

.......................09

.............Michut..........Neil

.......Roberts....Gelhardt.........Clarke

Seems wrong to leave Amad out, but cant play everyone., easily turns into a 343 if needed with 09 dropping into centre half and the Wingbacks pushing up and either way give Gelhardt some much needed support

Would an apology be enough for you to move on do you reckon?

I reckon you are in the massive minority for expecting a sorry either way. It would look and sound ridiculous. It's not a us and them surely? We are all in this together.
Nah, not him, points dropped day prophet of doom.
