Strange bites or stings

Ramshanker

Winger
Woke up last Saturday morning and noticed some itchy spots on my shins and calfs, during the day the spots got bigger and intensely itchy I'd been out walking on Friday, wearing shorts so assumed I'd been bit outdoors. Sunday morning, I've got double the spots on my legs, and now they're on my arms & back too. I had fleas in the house a few years ago, when I 'owed' cats, but those bites I got then were just around the ankles. Anyway Wednesday gone & I've got spots all over my body, no one else in the house has them, I've teared the house apart looking for bugs, washed all bedding and applicable soft furnishings. Now all the spots are about the size of a 2p coin and dark purple, not itchy though. Don't think I got any new ones yesterday, reminds me of mosquito bites I get on holiday. This possible in the UK?

Not sure what it could be but just in case get some flea spray or some bug bombs and give the house a good going over. Maybe rent a steam cleaner and go all over your soft furnishings?

It'll have been a midgie bite and you've had a reaction. You don't feel it at the time unless there's millions of them. I got caught out a couple of weeks ago down Durham cricket ground. The next day I my legs looked like they'd been eaten alive. The joys of wearing shorts 365 days per year I suppose šŸ¤£

Why did you owe cats?
dam it!. Forgot to add, I've got 2 of these spots on my wrist, which is covered by my watch strap. only take my watch off when I go to sleep

Hope so, I'm getting scared to go to sleep

My black cat had a tick the size of a peanut latched onto its neck. We bought the tool and twisted, and it fell out and started wriggling urghhh. This was on Wednesday, pretty horrible like.

Sounds like an allergic reaction. Itā€™s either that or a deadly spot virus that will also enter your mouth and make your body swell like a balloon until you pop šŸ˜°ā˜¹ļøšŸ˜

Take an anti histamine youā€™ll be fine. If in doubt send a pic to your docs or nip in to see a pharmacist
