Jeez, that long. Saw it at the Tyneside Cinema on its release. Be around the time of going there to see double bills of American Zoetrope studio films thinking we were cool as fuck (aged 15).

Mad to think that David Byrne is 71. He's not far off Jagger and yet the Stones seem from another era.
All young in their outlook, Neil Tennant is 70 next year too.

It's incredible. Nothing comes close. The way in which it builds from starting with Byrne to, song by song, a bigger and bigger line up, is genius.
The energy is great too, especially Life During Wartime when they're all legging about.

I like Monterey Pop as a concert film, directed by Pennebacker, although of course it’s a festival over a weekend so it’s a bit of a documentary rather than just a gig. It takes some beating for me, really captures the time.
But yes, Stop Making Sense is a good shout.
