5 tests away from the Ashes and question marks over 6 of our top 7, a reluctance to play a spinner - who subsequently missed out on playing 1st class matches to carry the drinks.

Genuinely believe we are getting into stick or twist territory with the coach,
Captain, (Root has done a decent job but we need his runs and this year would take a toll on any captain)
the players, will they improve from playing or are they just not good enough to make it
the whole set up of the ECB and the shambles of the schedule to prioritise the 100.

To those who say we don't have anyone better, if the current lot have shown they aren't upto standard than we need to take risks and see if some will step up (Vaughan/Trescothick had average county records before selection).
 

The ECB are to blame for everything that’s wrong with English cricket, which at present is a fuckload.

Really can’t be too harsh on a captain and a coach who has had zero support or backing whatsoever in terms of selection and preparation.

Root, not at all but this last year must be draining him mentally.
Silverwood has made some bizarre picks player size on a game by game basis mind
