Yes of course he can, a personal net worth of £8m means you’ve deffo made it like, he can invest in whatever he likes really (without conflicts of interest)

To direct 17 companies means 17 companies trust you to run them at a profit

Said it elsewhere, but Mickey Gray knows nothing, absolutely nothing. Alan Nixon and every other journalist knows nowt. Don't fall into the trap of thinking these people must know something because they don't. Doesn't matter if they work in the media or whatever they haven't a clue but try to maintain a facade that they do, it's bollocks.
 
Donald will be the front for the consortium. He will be responsible for turning the club around and making us profitable ASAP. We will then be sold at a later date

Thanks for that, I’ve heard of quite a lot of those companies especially the finance and automotive companies, google can send you in all sorts of directions.

Looks like a good appointment to me

Net worth is about his balance sheet not his wealth. insurance brokers are not asset intensive companies and net worth has little if any alignment with personal wealth
 
He said in an interview that he was always wary of getting involved in consortiums because they usually mean a lack of funds. He's either happy that his backers are serious, or full of shit. Only time will tell.

You're wrong.
Had interests in Go Compare (heard of them?) and Hastings Direct (heard of them?). Plenty of cash and also serious backers from elsewhere. This is the best thing to happen to the club in a long long time so get behind him and lets see where he can take us.
Won't be a quick fix but we finally have someone who is up for the challenge and wants to get us where we belong.

I don't know the ins and outs of his personal wealth but he's a very wealthy man. His backers are very wealthy too. Just enjoy it.
