Just realised I spelled llama man how a kid I used to work with at the time did and I’ve done it like that ever sinceMr Angry, superb
We have an orchard by us which has a pond and they keep geese. They’re forever honking away and the standard line is always “get the geese off”. amazing how these things stick with you all those years.RIP “Wrighty” always listened, the geese, Mr Angry, old woman, ask elvis, just made me laugh all the time! Thanks and sleep well friend! Mods sort this thread!
Always enjoyed his shows. One of the best. RIPI'm hard pressed to think of a better radio presenter -the best for me. Really sad news
I listened to the last hour of her show driving to work. She must feel wrung out after that.Sad news, poor Sarah Cox is ploughing through it now
It’s made me feel old losing people like him I grew up listening too.Gosh occasionally one of these celebrity deaths really comes up and smacks you slap in the chops.
He was a must-listen to in the mid to late 80s. Had us all pissing ourselves at the likes of Mr Angry from Purley, Mr Spoons, Larmaman.
A definite miss. RIP.
Bobbie Pryor. They were very close friends. Worked together for yearsJust listened to the lass that does the traffic update on radio 2. She broke down in tears half way through it.
RIP
Made doing what he did sound very easy. He was a bit of a comfort blanket. Listening to his show in the car was very relaxing and could make you feel as is all was great in the world, even when it wasn’t. Apparently he was also a lovely guy with everyone. No ego.I'm hard pressed to think of a better radio presenter -the best for me. Really sad news
No, it was very sudden, Sky News published a recent photo and he didn't look well.Have they announced cause of death?
In reckon he’s been ill and that’s why he was given weekends. Kind of makes sense.Really sad news. Loved his show and thought it was a poor decision to get rid of him.
Weather he was to your style or not he was a natural broadcaster - up there with the very best.
I don’t think so. He offered to take a significant pay cut to keep the Big Show but they wanted him to go. The fact his former colleagues are in complete shock tonight and that he was working at the station only 3 days ago suggests it’s a heart attack or something equally out of the blue.In reckon he’s been ill and that’s why he was given weekends. Kind of makes sense.
This, great enetertainmantBit of a shocker this news. Always came across as a thoroughly decent bloke. RIP Wrighty
To be fair Steve Wright hasn’t looked particularly well for about 20 yearsNo, it was very sudden, Sky News published a recent photo and he didn't look well.
