I know. Merely just saying he's a decent footballer, he'll hold his own fine in league two.

I was surprised he ended up at Shildon actually. Played 5 a side against him a couple of years ago and he was outstanding.

He must only be about 25/26 as well because he was in my mate’s year at school.

It was a very strange move. He was highly thought of at Blackpool and was captain. Had a good season at York also, albeit at a lower level. I think he'll do well next season
Marcus Maddison reckons league 2 was tougher than league 1
Personally don't think there is much between them. I've watched Hartlepool in both leagues a good few year ago and always felt there wasn't much difference. Can't comment much recently but the Sunderland games I've seen on ifollow the standard has been pretty poor. It will be interesting to see how league two is for this forthcoming season.

From what I've seen of Jamie Sterry for pools is, he's a decent right back who I believe could play in league one and a do a fairly decent job.
Whether Sunderland think so or the fans, or him wanting to play for Sunderland, is another matter.

If he's professional enough to want to enhance his game then being a Newcastle fan and ex player should not be an obstacle for him.
If I'm honest I would say he needs a bigger club to enhance his game because I think he's got a potential to go a bit higher than he's at.

I think there's a potential championship player in him but certainly a league one ability.
