Standard in the championship...

There's going to be some very disappointed and disillusioned Sunderland fans around by about October. The overall standard isn't great but the entire football club is in disarray and flat out broke. Genuinely think you'll go down with a rather large bump, you've not bottomed out just yet.
If Nufc can be champions in that league we've got nowt to fear
Basically a shit team won a shit league
Must have been some sized rock you've been hiding under

From all the games i've seen it is very very poor, little quality and will take next to nothing with our current squad to escape at 1st attempt, with the big fish in that league i feel no reasinbto be fearful of anything in that league
You are wrong and the fact that we will be seen as a 'big fish' as you call it will mean every team will see us as a good scalp.
With Moyes in charge and with the current squad division 1 beckons.

our u23s would finish 16th in that league

Anyone who thinks the standard of the championship is poor is in for a shock. It's a different kind of football but very competitive. There are some good teams in that league and some good players.
There isn't a great deal of difference between the bottom 7/8 in the prem and the top 10 in the championship.

you forgetting they spend over £50m like no way in world will we spend that much. We spend very very little if anything at all

It's a shit league and if we get our act together we'll be right up there. I remember when we had our 15 point season and then won the Championship the year after.

My concern would be what's the point in coming back up if it's just going to be the same as our last few years in the Prem? The club just has a bit of a Groundhog feel about it.
This.
I'd honestly rather take a few seasons out and come back up as a brand new outfit with a young, energetic, hardworking team with the ability to at least compete in premier league games. It's depressing and not enjoyable the way it is now.

Nonsense that, we'll struggle without good signings.

It's improved considerably since we were last down there. Lots of good players (just this season the likes of Knockaert, Forestieri, Gayle, Ritchie, Shelvey, Hernandez, Mooy) and tactically clued up managers - not the dinosaur league it used to be

Agree 100%. Moyes has given no indication he's the man to be charged with the task, but if we are going to change manager we need to get a move on. Agents and players will be lining up their next moves right now, the longer we hang about the more targets we'll miss out on.
Knowing Short we will have to sell before we buy and we've got f***ing loads to sell......

Not true.

The worst thing we could do is keep this f***ing squad together as attitude will play a massive part.

So you're going to walk it as it's such a lousy league?
Why don't give Short a call and tell him that you'll do Moyes's job 10% of the money. Then the club can afford to fire him and you'll take this fantastic and skilled set of players back into the PL

I recon I'd have the majority backing on here
Thanks for the vote of confidence

Villa spent £40mil+ on Kodjia, McCormack and Hogan and finished mid table

You just got spanked at home by your relegation rivals playing your strongest XI. And about 6 of them won't even be there next season

Rubbish! As much as it pains me fact is they won the title at the first time because the club is far run than our own. It is the most disorganized and incompetent band of clueless suits.

Top two in the Championship. I don't think you can include Villa (13th). I think Brentford can be included.
