Standard in the championship...

The team we played today could still end up in that league...and they were so much better than us it isnt funny...

From all the games i've seen it is very very poor, little quality and will take next to nothing with our current squad to escape at 1st attempt, with the big fish in that league i feel no reasinbto be fearful of anything in that league

Villa spent £40mil+ on Kodjia, McCormack and Hogan and finished mid table

You just got spanked at home by your relegation rivals playing your strongest XI. And about 6 of them won't even be there next season

And yet every time we play some team from the lower leagues the play us off the park .

Class goal there like. The thing is with the Championship, people either think the standard is either great or dog shit, seems to be no middle ground these days.

We currently have a manager with no clue and massive squad changes required. His record on player acquisition, team selection, tactics and motivation gives me no hope whatsoever that we will be competing never mind running away with anything next season. Even with a change of manager, the size of the rebuild is pretty daunting - to get that right, building a new team/squad and getting the blend right - frightening! Probably too much emphasis on coming straight back up in one sense though - more important to get the building blocks right rather than panicking. Going off recent history I expect a complete shambles, a half arsed attempt and everyone demoralised after a few games. Hope I'm completely wrong but things don't look good.

Agree 100%. Moyes has given no indication he's the man to be charged with the task, but if we are going to change manager we need to get a move on. Agents and players will be lining up their next moves right now, the longer we hang about the more targets we'll miss out on.
