If I wake up tomorrow and we are not 4 down I will start to believe.....

That was my train of though, they were only 3 down when I woke up too, however by the time I got downstairs and put the telly on Bell was out. So now, hope is lost. Unless they get to Lunch still 4 down?!

Prior playing far too aggressively. Was a matter of time. Nugget.

Needed another 50 runs from this pair to have a chance.

Frustrating that, I couldn't help feeling Prior was the man I wanted to stay at the crease to bat with the tail if necessary. I'm worried that there's a psychological advantage for SL here that we still need over 100 to win, if that had fallen at 241, the target would just seem to be within reach.

Time for Patel to earn his place in the team.

I bet you could have got cracking odds on SL with about 100 needed

If it aint broke dont fix it, Prior coming in at 7 has served us well for the last few years.

We are now playing with 2 number 11 which doesnt help

Monty's bowling is more important than having only 1 number 11 IMHO, at least on this type of pitch.

Very decent effort from the batsmen in the 2nd innings there, but still only got themselves to blame for not getting the runs in the 1st innings. At least there are a couple of positives to take from our 2nd innings batting performance. If only Broad hadn't overstepped the mark for the 10th wicket yesterday and if only hawkeye had been accurate for Bell's dismissal. Ah well, can't really complain, we were 2nd best.

Not really IMO. Batting was far from impossible out there and any score was possible with a bit of patience but getting out playing agrressively or sweeping straight balls was plain stupid. They have learned nothing.
