Interesting fact for you, Newcastles financial controller during the 2000s was a Sunderland supporter from Bishop Auckland.

Football clubs aren’t ran by fans mate. Thankfully.

I agree with you and think it has absolutely no bearing on anything, but didn't they almost go into administration in the 2000's until they were saved by Mike? A mackem financial controller during that time is only proving the lad you've quoted's point.

Only if you believe that there was some nefarious plan that a financial controller, reporting regularly to a board of directors, unable to set transfer policy, audited and scrutinised by an external firm of accountants, under the regulatory and legal compliance of their accountancy body… was in some way single handedly driving an organisation into administration.

I think that probably tells you all you need to know about folk with that train of thought.

I have no issue with mags working for us if they are professional.

I think you mean David Stonehouse and no, David wasn’t financial controller, he sat on the board at NUFC as Chief Executive.

I’m sure Davison will run all future recruitment by you, on behalf of his employers of course, just to check you have no issue.

There’ll still be a plant pot somewhere we can all shout “Mag” at when things head south though. Cool.

Obviously looking for an argument with patronising bollocks. Mag or Wum? Certainly one or the other of likely both.

I have no issue with a mag working for SAFC as long as they are professional.

Given the disgrace of how SAFC have dealt with this FA tie you have to question the motives of some SAFC staff. Picking on my post is your prerogative but there are plenty on here who think like I do.

Yes mate, despite my 2x seats at the SoL, albeit living outside of the UK for the majority of the year and a depressing number of decades subjecting myself to the lows and occasional highs, because I’m not standing alongside you shouting in the same direction, I’m a Mag. Good call Chief Inspector.

We really need to get you one of those plant pots. It’d be good therapy. Maybe I could get one?
There was a statement from the club which actually explained the decision and I understood the logic of it. I didn’t necessarily agree with it or might have done it differently myself but it made enough sense to me. Maybe I should have just been open mouthed, pointing and shouting “Mag” at more things. Maybe you’re right?

It’s like when the citizens of Springfield rock up looking for Bart all armed with pitchforks.
