Spirit of 37 - display v Newcastle

Maybe not.......but singing about "puffs" on National Television whilst simultaneously taking the moral high ground on Human Rights is going to be a big f***ing embarrassment for our club :confused::confused::confused:
Well said. Totally embarrassing hearing this homophobic chant being sang by many in last few weeks. Things have thankfully moved on in society since this song was conceived. It only needs one word to be changed.

Mate if you feel that strongly about it just say “scruffs”. I would imagine many do anyway, It’s only you linking the chant to homophobia.
It's not him 'linking' the chant to homophobia. The chant, as it is currently sang, is blatantly/outwardly homophobic.

I think a couple of the lads are still keen to carry on so I’m sure there’ll be something. There’s a lot of stock there that won’t be left to rot for certain.

I just really haven’t got the time to commit to it enough anymore. You go in 3 hours early and get grief of stewards cos flags were left in the seats, grief of the deputy safety officer saying he’s going to throw it all out because it was blocking an access way (only after a club contractor moved it all and left it in a f***ing tip)

We try to keep it all neat, which is difficult when there’s only a few people there to set up/tidy away and this is what the club treat the stock like.

They shifted it all to install a drainage pipe and let rainwater leak all over our stuff. We’ve been asking for storage for over a year. They don’t value us, just like they don’t value supporters.

Definitely. Since I was a young kid I’ve been taught to stand up against bullies and that’s what NUFC’s owners are. Human rights abusing bullies.
Agree mate and the rest.

Nufc have legitimised state sponsored murder and terrorism

And any mag sympathiser employed by SAFC and banning any legitimate protest should be named and shamed and preferably sacked immediately because of it.

If the boot was on the the other foot would the mags be employing SAFC supporters and bending over backwards to appease? I think we know what the answer is.

We need to grow some balls throughout the club.

Erm that’s exactly what you’ve tried to do
I heard that song being sang by thousands in the south stand - and the overwhelming majority were using the word “puffs”.

I’m calling how it is instead of pretending it’s not happening
How can it be homophobic if it’s a different word being used?
It’s homophobic because the word hasn’t been changed…and when it was sang on Monday 90% of the people singing it used the original word.

Change the word - job done.

We've been saying it for years, and alot on here would toss the paranoid blah blah blah. What's happened over this game kinda adds weight to what people have been saying for years.
