Spirit of 37 - display v Newcastle

Watch them pick up on it, get the time wrong, the mags fill their end and we have a sparsely populated home end and the commentators say they're surprised Sunderland failed to sell so few tickets.

The display goes ahead and it just says "SP OTS WASH".

ffs man

Doubt seen as the club pays for the displays. Only we could decide to stop our fans showing what we think of the Mags and their murderous owners.
We need to do it ourselves. The stewards can't take us all on with our own small flags and displays, No blood on our hands, No sportswashing here, Amnesty flags etc. Keep it classy and keep the moral high ground, even if our club won't.

But that'll also stop Sunderland fans getting to the ground surely?
Sunderland fans can take a different route. The Newcastle coaches can't as their route will be planned and won't be altered. I presume they would come down Wessington Way so if that 1st roundabout at Wessington pub/Nissan Garage was blocked by protesters, where would they go.

They ain't going to take them through Hylton Castle/Castletown or on the A19 to come through Pennywell.

I'm not suggesting any of this would actually happen but it would be a logistical nightmare for the Police if it did.

Boldon, Newcastle road an option?

The best thing that could happen would be for all Sunderland fans to boycott the game. Would be a bit shit for the players but I’m sure they’d understand.
I know it would never happen, but would be funny as fuck if it did😂

As I’ve said before , if it was up to me I’d have a full size picture of Khashoggi floating around the stadium .
What I’m going to ask you all is to forget it’s the Mags and our rivalry and answer me this .

If your family had multi billion pound investments all around the world , would you allow your name to be connected to an insult to a country who are currently one of the biggest financial influencers in the world ?

There is a foot bridge over Wessington Way near McDonalds would it be worth setting a banner on there to welcome the bastards. Club can't have anything to do with that can they? Also the chanting can't be controlled and we should get plenty of new anti-Saudi chants going in the next few weeks. Bernardbresslaw on here came up with "Going home in suitcase", would love 40K giving that large and see the state of their faces.

Link? I can't see that for some reason
Scrap that, found the link:

We all have to make choices in life. The rich have the power (and arguably responsibility) to make choices that can be more influential than the rest of us. I hope they regret taking the wrong moral path here, if indeed it is for the sake a few more $$ to add to their pile.
