A promotion push is not enough. We have to be promotedThe size of the club and the expectation of the fans would suggest that the pressure has been on him from day one. My own thoughts are that from the evidence I have seen he is trying to turn it around as quickly as possible. He has taken on a big job and I, like the vast majority will expect no less than promotion at the end of the season. Time I think is a commodity he will not have, so this argument of he needs time will not wash come the end of the season for most people IMO.
If he wants to be successful in his career with Sunderland he needs to deliver and that will start with being in charge of adequate recruitment to allow a genuine promotion push and no amount of soundbites and interviews should detract from that one purpose.
