Speakman gone


In fairness to KS he has been fantastic when we were getting in bargains or young talent for the championship. But as we look to establish ourselves in the PL we need to be brave and that market is not viable anymore and trust in Florent Ghisolfi who has proven with his recruitment that they know what they are doing.
 
Can't help but feel his expertise is/was a different talent pool than what we need now. I gave the bloke a fair bit of criticism (which probably justified at the time), but I can't ignore the value he found in players who were pivotal to getting us out of the Championship with PSR room to spare, allowing us to invest so heavily in the summer. What he did worked.

Hopefully he won't be as big a miss as first impressions may appear. I dare say he will have plenty of offers from some very good clubs.
