Anyone who thought we will win the Euros are deluding themselves, we were lucky to win the last two friendies 1-0 against Austria and Romania, some good goalkeeping saved us, Croatia we were poor against an average Croatia team, Kane has had a few injuries and struggled for form this season, Rashford and Sterlings forms have been poor, Foden and Mount are young and not going to perform miracles.

In the game Scotland worked hard and deserved at least the draw, Southgate plays two defensive midfielders when we should attack them, Should of took off Sterling for Grealish but takes off one of our better players in Foden for him, Kane should of been subbed at half time. Southgate is on borrowed time!

Aye. And Tunisia. And Colombia on penalties. We’ve not qualified for tournaments in the past, been knocked out in the group stages, not beaten the likes of Slovenia and Costa Rica and only been to two semi finals since 66. Based upon that, he has a better track record than any other England manager.

Tonight was shite, Southgate’s substitutions were awful and there is plenty to be grumpy about but there’s no need for revisionism.

We did exactly the same in the world cup as we've don't in every tournament for the last 50 off years - got knocked out by the first (half) decent team we came up against.

It just so happened in the tournament we didn't have to face a (half) decent team until the semi finals.

Well we did play Belgium but of course they beat us.
 
Portugal didn't win any of their group games last time, couldn't even beat Iceland or Hungary, still won the tournament.

In 2010 winners Spain lost their opening match to Switzerland.

In 2016 winners Italy drew to the USA and needed a last minute penalty to knock out Australia.

He’ll probably not be sacked mid way through a tournament to be fair.

Should have been sacked after the World Cup when we were utterly awful despite reaching the semi. He’s got the best squad in my life time and he’s making a pigs ear of it by not allowing the creative players to do what they’re best at.
